Ness of Sound and Shetland Catch

Had another look for the Egyptian Goose at the Ness of Sound again today - but no sign of it. The snow has at last been melting for the last few days and although there is still some on the higher ground its mostly gone.

As it was high tide, Turnstones were on Pullars Loch, along with a Water Rail that dissappeared as soon as it saw me.

Had a look at the Shetland Catch for gulls. There were 8 Herring Gulls there - so all I saw was the Shetland Catch, along with  a pile of pallettes that were probably visible from space. The Shetland Catch is the largest pelagic fish factory in Europe, handling Herring and Mackerel landed by Shetland and Scottish trawlers.
